Here’s three of the eight short movements from Morton Gould’s “Benny’s Gig”. Gould wrote them all for Benny Goodman, who played them on various tours including one to the Soviet Union. The movements we performed here are: #4(“Brisk”), #6 (“Calypso”), and #8(“Jaunty”).

To help students continue with their studies during the shelter in place period, you can now schedule online double bass lessons with me at String Masters. This platform is better suited for Internet-based video music instruction – we will share two-way video and audio as well as shared music scores, and the audio quality is better than the other internet video chat platforms I’ve tried.
